| New Hampshire Volunteer of the Month Award Be recognized by Governor Lynch Concord ~ Ongoing nomination process This award is presented to one volunteer in the state each month – a youth, an adult or a senior – whose volunteer service strengthens communities and improves life in New Hampshire. The New Hampshire Volunteer of the Month Award was instituted by Governor John Lynch in 2005 and is administered by Volunteer NH! as part of the Spirit of New Hampshire recognition program. Each recipient of a monthly award is recognized at a monthly meeting of the Governor and Executive Council. Nominations are accepted year-round and remain eligible for consideration for one calendar year from the date of submission. Nominations for a New Hampshire Volunteer of the Month Award that are received prior to September 15, 2008 will also be considered for a Volunteer Service category award in the annual Spirit of New Hampshire statewide celebration held November 13, 2007 at the Grappone Center in Concord.
