Volunteer NH!
Disaster Services
An effort by public safety personnel and citizens to mitigate the impact of an incident on human life and property. (Wiktionary)
Since 2005, New Hampshire has seen its fair share of storms, floods, tornados and disaster that impact our lives and property, yet we overcome. New Hampshire citizens have always been resilient, resourceful, and able to help themselves and neighbors. Volunteering in New Hampshire is not something new! As a result of the past years state and federal declared disasters, many communities joined forces with preparedness and trainings initiatives that include developing Community Emergency Response Teams and Medical Reserve Corps teams.
Some citizens have attended trainings and informational seminars for their own peace of mind and to learn how they can now take care of themselves and families for extended periods of time. Trained volunteers have provided priceless efforts in providing services that supplement our local and state emergency officials in every disaster NH has recently faced. NH volunteers are truly the definition of Emergency Response.
