This award is given to an outstanding member of the community whose work has fostered the civic engagement of others and has provided a lasting impact on NH citizens.

The Governor’s Award for Outstanding Volunteer Manager

This award was created by former Governor John Sununu to honor NH volunteer administrators and to salute their excellence in leadership. Since then, New Hampshire governors have continued to give out the award annually.

Spirit of New Hampshire Awards

In 2003, Volunteer NH established the Spirit of New Hampshire Awards, a state-level recognition program to honor exemplary contributions to volunteerism. The annual fall ceremony augments the many volunteer recognition events that occur in communities throughout the state each year.

Veterans

During their 2015 Spirit of NH Awards, Volunteer NH added a special component to their program with the purpose of honoring all military members.
