Recognizing those who served is both a great honor and a great responsibility.

On November 10, 2015, in conjunction with an initiative created by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), Volunteer NH included a special addition to their Spirit of NH Awards. Every veteran and active duty soldier who attended the awards – both in National Service and not in National Service – was honored with a special challenge coin and unique pin. Helping in awarding these pins was Steve Monier, an assistant in Senator Kelly Ayotte’s office, who specializes in military, veterans, and homeland security. During and after the Spirit ceremony the veterans were invited to stand and be recognized by the audience for their service to our nation.
