Do you know a great Volunteer Manager? Then nominate for the 2026 Volunteer Manager of the Year Award!
A Volunteer Manager knows that operating a volunteer program is no small feat. It takes a tremendous amount of time, effort, patience, perseverance, managerial skill, long-term vision, and a willingness to engage in continuous learning and improvement. That’s why we’re offering the 2026 Volunteer Manager of the Year Award!
To recognize the dedication and impact such a volunteer manager can have on the community, former Governor John Sununu created the Governor’s Outstanding Volunteer Manager of the Year Award. It is meant to honor volunteer administrators and salute their excellence in the leadership and management of volunteers in New Hampshire.
Nominees must recruit, engage, and/or manage volunteers who serve New Hampshire communities. They may be paid or unpaid for their work.
In the nomination you will answer questions, including:
- A summary of the program the nominee manages (number of volunteers, activities, impact);
- A description of how the nominee has demonstrated outstanding dedication to the success of the program;
- Examples of innovative strategies the nominee has employed (or examples of how the nominee is willing to continually improve the program);
- Other additional information to highlight the nominee
Volunteer NH will present the award during the Governor’s Conference on Volunteerism on May 21st, 2026.
