CONCORD, NH – Volunteers and volunteer champions from across the Granite State will receive well-deserved recognition for their efforts throughout the past year during the 2021 Spirit of NH Awards. Sixty-two award recipients will be highlighted online by Volunteer NH during a week-long social media campaign from November 11-17th, culminating in the Spirit of NH Awards event live-streamed to YouTube by ConcordTV from the Bank of NH Stage. Nazzy Nazz of 105.5 WJYY will emcee this free event on Wednesday, November 17th from 6:30-8:00 PM.

The 2021 Spirit of NH Awards will feature Volunteer Service Award and Volunteer Champion Award recipients in six categories, with special “Outstanding” awards presented to:

One special individual or group will be surprised during the event with the top “Spirit of NH Award”, kept secret until it is announced live. In addition, one individual or group will be selected to receive a People’s Choice Award. “Volunteers are the backbone of our communities,” says Gretchen Stallings, Executive Director of Volunteer NH. “Many in the Granite State make volunteering a part of their daily life: tackling food insecurity, bringing joy to hospice patients, maintaining our state’s natural and cultural resources, bettering their communities, and more. 2021 has been an extraordinarily challenging year and we must honor volunteers who gave of their time and talent to make a difference where the need was the greatest.”

The Spirit of NH Awards ceremony is made possible by Volunteer NH’s annual sponsors including: CGI Business Solutions, St. Mary’s Bank, AARP-NH, Bangor Savings Bank, Northeast Delta Dental, Orr & Reno, Coca Cola Beverages Northeast, the Sidebotham Family, Bernstein Private Wealth Management, and other generous contributors.
